Good morning!
My name is Nancy Jardine and I live in the beautiful 'castle country' of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. At one point in time, Aberdeenshire had more than 250 castles, some of which are now ruined though others are still lived in, or belong to the National Trust for Scotland or Historic Environment Scotland and are open for public viewing. They are all worthy of a visit- small cute ones and larger fairytale establishments.
My main hobbies in retirement from teaching are - I'm sure you've guessed it- novel writing and... tending to my large garden. I grow a variety of vegetables and fruit which are lovingly shared with my family members who live close by.
My published historical fiction is set in 1st century Roman Britain, my Celtic Fervour Series having five novels plus an introductory 'full-novel-length' Prequel.
I don't often physically skip any more but skip to the Victorian era in Scotland and you'll find that's where my Silver Sampler family saga Series is set. Book 2 is coming soon (end of summer 2025), Book 3 plotted and just beginning.

History and mystery? There's Victorian and Edwardian history in two of my three published contemporary mysteries. It was far too tempting to not write a mystery with ancestral/ family tree structure via which the mysteries are unraveled.

All novels are available from Amazon in Kindle & paperback and they can also be ordered from bookstores in paperback.

The forum is an exciting new venture where, I'm sure, I'll learn a lot from my fellow authors.
Cheers.
Nancy

I'm Cathie Dunn, blog tour coordinator with The Coffee Pot Book Club, and a self-confessed history nut. When I can find any spare time, I write historical fiction, with a recent focus in the early medieval period in Normandy.

I love researching the lives of real women in history, who are often merely a byname, if at all, in historical chronicles. So I hope to remedy that with my new series, House of Normandy.

Take care,
