We are now open for submissions to our Book of the Year Awards 2025.

The Coffee Pot Book Club Book Of The Year Awards are an international contest exclusively for authors who write in the following genre / sub-genres:

  • Historical Fiction
  • Historical Romance
  • Historical Mystery
  • Historical Fantasy
  • Historical Non-Fiction

The deadline for submissions to The Coffee Pot Book Club Book of the Year Awards 2025 is: 

October 31st, 2025

  • American Historical Fiction
  • Westward Expansion (North America)
  • 20th Century Historical Fiction
  • Historical Literary Fiction
  • Historical Women’s Fiction
  • Historical Romance
  • Historical Mystery & Crime
  • Time Travel / Time-Slip / Dual-Timeline Fiction
  • Alternative Historical Fiction / Historical Fantasy
  • Historical Anthologies
  • Historical Non-Fiction
  • Historical Audio Books

In our Category Awards, your book will only be judged against other submissions in the same category.

You may enter your book in multiple categories. Charges apply for each category. See details below.

The prizes of the Category Awards apply to each category – there will be a Gold, Silver, Bronze medal winner for each category. Some categories may also have an Honourable Mention medal.

Entry of one title into one category: £40

Entry into any additional categories: £15 (per category, per title)

We will need the following information:

Book Title

Author Name

Publication Date

Publisher (if applicable)

Number of Pages

Award Category (or categories) you would like to enter


* Book of the Year Award *

If you have entered your book into the Category Awards, you are automatically entered into the overall Book of the Year Award. There will only be ONE winner of the Book of the Year Award. 

All titles that have received a Gold Medal in the categories will be judged alongside each other for this award.

The winner of the Book of the Year Award receives the following:

• Digital award badge in PNG file for use on book cover / promotional artwork

• Americano Blog Tour, worth £260

• 1 Premier Book Spotlight Guest post worth £20

• 12 months advertising on The Coffee Pot Book Club sidebars worth £110

Rules

• Your book must be published in English.

• Your book must be edited before submission – we will not judge unedited manuscripts.

• Review copies must be in either PDF, EPUB, or MOBI format. We do not accept paperback review copies.

• This contest is open to all published works – it does not matter how your book was published, whether through a publisher, small press, or independently. Nor does it matter when it was published. It DOES, however, have to be published.

• You will not receive a written review of your book.

• If you win an award, we will send you the date of when your prize promotion will go out.

• The Book of the Year Award 2025 winner’s blog tour must run by August 2026.

Judges

The judges are Coffee Pot Book Club-affiliated book reviewers, authors, and professional bloggers. The judges will NOT provide a written review for any entered book, nor will they provide any structural or content review feedback.


Terms and Conditions

• You cannot enter a book into a category that does not apply. If we receive a book entered into a category that does not fit, it will be disqualified from the category. No refund will be given.

• Review copies must be available at the point when you enter the awards, in ePub, PDF or audiobook formats.

• There is no cash alternative to any of the prizes.

• Once payment is remitted, no cash refunds will be made.
