Meet the Team

Book Promotion Coordinators

Cathie Dunn

Cathie Dunn is a writer of award-winning, Amazon-bestselling historical fiction, mystery, and romance.

For several years, she used to review novels for the Historical Novel Society UK, and she has been an active reviewer for a number of blog tour providers on both sides of the Atlantic. She loves reading a wide range of books, but her favourite genres continue to be historical fiction, mysteries, and romantic women’s fiction.

In her spare time, she loves exploring historic sites and uncovering hidden (hi)stories. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society, the Romantic Novelists’ Association, and the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi).

Cathie is the full-time coordinator at The Coffee Pot Book Club, responsible for blog tours, book promotion, author services, and the prestigious Book of the Year Awards. She is also an Editorial Reviewer.

Mary Anne Yarde

Mary Anne Yarde is a multi-award winning and bestselling author of Historical Fiction, as well as an award-winning blogger. She studied History at Cardiff University and went on to study Equine Science at Warwickshire College.

Mary Anne is a passionate advocate for quality Historical Fiction and became a professional Editorial Reviewer in 2016. She has worked closely with publishing houses, and authors (both traditionally and independently published) to successfully market their books.

When Mary Anne is not promoting books, she tutors History from Year 5 to Year 10. She is also a member of The Historical Novel Society, and owns Yarde Book Promotion.

Mary Anne is the Editorial Reviews Coordinator at The Coffee Pot Book Club, and herself also a member of our Editorial Review team.

Our Editorial Review Team

Ellie Yarde

Ellie Yarde is an author, reader, and blogger. She has been reading and reviewing historical fiction for as long as she can remember, and has always had a love for the genre. Working with The Coffee Pot Book Club greatly encouraged her love for history, and she can now often be found researching the history of the village she grew up in.

Ellie has been reading and reviewing for several years, and can often be found reading when she’s meant to be doing other things! She now spends her time reading, binge-watching television series, down the pub (working behind the bar, not drinking!), and riding horses. She originally became an editorial reviewer for The Coffee Pot Book Club in 2020, and after a break, she has returned to it – once you become a part of The Coffee Pot Book Club, you can never truly leave!

Jennifer C. Wilson

Jennifer C. Wilson has a thing about stalking dead monarchs…

It started as a child, with Mary Queen of Scots, then moved onto Richard III. At least she now tends to get a story out of it!

Jennifer won North Tyneside Libraries’ Story Tyne short story competition in 2014 with a story set in 1914, and has been filling notebooks and hard-drives with historical and contemporary fiction ever since.

Her Kindred Spirits series, following the ‘lives’ of some very interesting ghostly communities, is published by Darkstroke, and her historical romances by Ocelot Press. She is a member of the Richard III Society, and the Editor for the Marie Stuart Society’s Journal.
